Nine years ago in 1990, when I immigrated to the United States from Taiwan, as a professional acupuncturist, I accidentally put a cupping jar in my luggage. I really didn’t expect that this little jar would lead me to a path of medical practice that was very different from that of orthodox acupuncturists.
The first time I treated a friend of mine, I tried acupuncture, which I am good at, but it didn’t work. Then I had an idea and thought of the jar. Pulling it out, the effect was very good. From then on, I couldn’t control it. From cupping to scraping, from scraping to acupuncture and bloodletting, moxibustion was also performed.
